The Alchemist

The King of Salem:

This is an important book, but it's really irritating. It's a book that says the same thing almost all the other books in the world say. It describes people's inability to choose their own destinies. And it ends up saying that everyone believes the world's greatest lie.

An ambitious shepherd boy asked, "What's the world's greatest lie?"

He continued:

It's this: that at a certain point in our lives, we lose control of what's happening to us, and our lives become controlled by fate.

That's the world's greatest lie.

- Paulo Coelho.

  1. If That IS So, Then all of Existence is a lie.

Because of that fact, the world's greatest lie, depicted the book is ironically true.

The fact of the matter is, we're living on borrowed time. All we can do is do our best for the people around us ad those that will come after,in the hope that our deeds are worthy in eyes of those that will cherish us the great creator.

  2. well, the existence of life itself is not a lie. what we are having here in life today is just temporary and yes in your own justification, it's the matter of "borrowing". what we are having today, is very beautiful and we shouldn't be wasting it or as a matter of fact, taking it for granted. hmm... let's hope for a better tmorrow and God knows, our future descendants would find our efforts are very much for their own good and yes..meeting the Great Creator Himself is the ultimatum of life i guess.

    u know what i mean?
